The draws are out for the Annual General Meet. They are subject to change but this is what’s planned at the moment. See them at Annual General Meet Information

September 15 Event Added

A one day Field Day has been added to this year’s golf agenda. It will be on  September 15 in Antigonish. This is a fun event for MSGA members and guests.  With the number of ladies in the MSGA, a Pinehurst mixed doubles event is planned.  Team entries may be for 2 members or for a member and guest. For the men, the format would be a 2 man best ball event.

After golf, Ron and Betty Johnson are planning a salmon barbeque with good wines (from their cellar).  “Hopefully the weather will be good for a backyard bar-b-que.  If not, we’ll just have to squeeze into the house.”

The cost will be $ 85 which will include golf, cart, and dinner. You can register now. Get information and a registration form at  2019 Events

Annual General Meet in St. Andrews

The Annual General Meet will be held in St. Andrews this year on August 26, 27 & 28. All the information you need is at 2019 Events

PEI Field Day in July. Registration is open.

Registration is open for our next event, a Field Day Plus in Charlottetown in July. Golf will be played on Sunday, July 14 at Belvedere Golf & Country Club in the afternoon, followed by dinner at the club. We’ll play Fox Meadow on the morning of Monday the 15th. As always you may register for either or both golf events. There is such a wide variety of conveniently located accommodations in Charlottetown, we’ve presumed you’d prefer to choose your own.

You can see more information and a registration form at  2019 Events

What better way to spend a Sunday & Monday in July than in PEI playing golf? Please register early to make it a little easier on the organizers.

Invitational in Halifax on June 23 & 24

Entries are now open for our Invitational, the first event of the year. This year it will be held in Halifax on the afternoons of June 23 & 24 at Glen Arbour Golf Course and Oakfield Golf & Country Club. There will be an optional BBQ and prize award following golf at Glen Arbour Golf Club. This is a two day event, but as always you may sign up for just one day if you wish.

Shirley d’Entremont is the field chair for the event & has secured a couple of great venues for us. She has also arranged an excellent hotel rate at Future Inns for our out of town guests. All the information and registration information can be found at 2019 Events

2019 Events Line Up

The events for 2019 are:

• A Field Day Plus in Halifax NS on June 23rd and 24th. We’ll be playing Glen Arbour and Oakfield Courses.
• A Field Day Plus in Charlottetown, PEI on July 14th and 15th. Playing Belvedere and Fox Meadow.
• The Annual Meet in St. Andrews NB on August 26, 27 & 28. Of course, we’ll be playing the newly redesigned Algonquin course.

We had been working on a fall event in conjunction with the Sun & Fun Association, but due to circumstances beyond our control this has been delayed until the following year.

Please put these events in your calendar right now. Registration and information forms will be available in late winter or early spring

Keltic Last Call & Truro First Call.

There are a few days left to register for Keltic & Highlands. If you haven’t registered yet, please do so this week. If you think you will be attending, but for some reason are unable to register this week, please let John McFarlane ( know and he will try to accommodate you.

Our last event of the year is now open for registration. It will be held at Truro Golf & Country Club on Monday, September the 24th. There is no organized golf on the second day but preferred rates and times have been arranged at either of nearby Penn Hills or Fox Hollow. We can arrange times for your own groups or put you together with other members.

Information and Registration Forms for both events are posted here. 2018 Schedule

Saint John Field Day Plus

A total of 73 participants enjoyed the two day event in Saint John on Monday where we played Hampton Golf Club and Tuesday at Riverside Golf & Country Club. Although rain had been forecast for both days, it never materialized. Riverside treated us to some good old fashioned Saint John fog, but even that disappeared by mid-morning. We’ll be posting results shortly.

Don’t forget our next event in Cape Breton on August 28, 29 & 30. Golf will be at Highland Links and accommodations at Keltic Lodge. Registration is now open. For more information go to our 2018 Events Page

Invitational in Moncton on June 17 & 18.

The Invitational, the first regular event in our schedule, will once again be held in Moncton. It will start with noon tee times at Fox Creek on Sunday, June 17 followed by morning tee times at Royal Oaks on Monday, June 18. An optional dinner will be held at Fox Creek on Sunday evening. As always, you can sign up for one day or both.

Fox Creek and Royal Oaks are among the best courses in the Maritimes and many of our members consider this the highlight of the year. For this event, we will be trying something a little different for a format. Although individuals will still keep their own scores, we will be competing as teams rather than as individuals. This promises to be more accommodating for players of all levels and should speed up play and scoring. More information on this later.

This is our opportunity to expose friends and acquaintances to our organization and to that end, we’re offering a discounted rate for first time guests.  Please give some thought as to who you might invite that could be a potential member.

Attached is the info and entry form or you can get it from our 2018 Events Page

Please try to book as early as possible to assist our organizers in planning the best event possible.
