Time to Register for the AGM
The 2022 Annual Meet will be held at the Digby Pines Resort and Golf Course in Digby Nova Scotia on August 29, 30 and 31. The golf course is a beautiful design by renowned Canadian golf course architect Stanley Thompson who has also designed Banff Springs, Jasper Park and Highland Links in Cape Breton. The Hotel is under new ownership and has been refreshed and refurbished.
Our schedule of events allows members to arrive on the Monday with a 3 days stay, or on the Tuesday with a 2 days stay at the Hotel. The “official” Agenda begins with the first round of the golf tournament with a modified shotgun start on Tuesday August 30th at 11 am. Members arriving on Monday are encouraged to enjoy an optional practice round and an informal meet and greet on Monday afternoon. On Tuesday following the golf, we will combine a meet and greet with the wine and scotch tasting which will be held on the Hotel grounds. Wednesday’s events shall include the second round of the golf tournament, the Annual General Meeting of the MSGA, and our closing banquet. We will also be having a culinary demonstration and lunch at the Hotel for our non-golfers.
To set up your practice round on the Monday you may call the pro shop at 902-245-7709. Please tell the pro shop that you are with the MSGA so that you will receive our special golf package rate of $86.25 (incl cart and hst).
The room rate at the Digby Pines is being offered with minimum booking requirements for the MSGA. Pines queen guest rooms are $169.00 single/$186.00 double and king guest rooms are $179.00 single/$206.00 double. These rates are available until July 29th and include accommodation and full hot and cold breakfast buffet in Churchill’s restaurant 7-10 am daily. HST is extra. Individual reservations can be made by contacting the hotel at 1-800-667-4637 and requesting the MSGA Annual Meet rate. Please make your reservations as early as possible to access this special rate.
Guests are both welcome and encouraged. Please send your registration as early as possible to secure your place and to ensure that this year’s Annual Meet will be a great success. I look forward to finally seeing everyone again and to enjoying a great event with you.
Thank you,
Peter Daigle
